Sinks are a staple in most restrooms. They’re necessary for keeping your facility clean and hygienic, but they can be a challenge to design when ADA standards are taken into account.
There are a number of ada sink requirements 2024 that need to be met to ensure the accessibility of your commercial bathrooms. First and foremost, ADA bathroom sink height and knee clearance are important considerations for wheelchair users. Generally, only one sink is required in a restroom, but if more than one is provided they must all comply with these guidelines. Sinks in kitchens and kitchenettes, or in classrooms for instructional purposes are not required to comply, but compliance is advisable.
